Small hotel in a nice enough area not far from Ypres well within the hour and old castle. Amicable and nice staff and management. Tranquil and unbeatable location, within short walking distance of everywhere. Simply no complains at all, lovely stay.

I gotta say, Haras Des Chartreux was worth every penny. The room was super cozy and comfy, and the view of either the Chateau or the horse yard was a real treat. The location was also top-notch, with the park and grounds just a stone's throw away. And the staff? They were so friendly and always ready to help. Definitely felt well taken care of during my stay.
The breakfast offerings could use a little improvement, especially when it comes to bringing milk for coffee. Having only coffee cream in little pots instead of regular milk wasn't the best.

Nothing, no complaints at all.

We had a blast at the nearby Adventure Park, where we enjoyed biking through the scenic trails and trying out the thrilling zip line. The kids had a blast and the whole family made unforgettable memories together!
My children wanted a playground on the hotel premises.

Enjoyed strolling through the lovely park and bird-watching by the lake. Tried horseback riding and tennis, felt so cultured at the Lille Museum of Modern Art. Loved the terrace and garden, plus the outdoor entertainment area - so fun!
Nothing like waking up to the charming sound of a church bell every 30 minutes! Total bliss.

Despite the drawbacks I encountered, there were some things that I enjoyed about staying here. the location was fantastic for exploring the nearby area. the hotel was situated just a short distance from a beautifully maintained park, which provided a really nice place to stretch my legs and take in some fresh air. the hotel restaurant served some delicious dishes, which made for a great meal and a nice way to unwind after a long day.
For one thing, I found the staff to be somewhat unfriendly and unhelpful.

Nestled in a tranquil, rural location, this property offers excellent value for money. Its unique location next to an equestrian centre lends itself to beautiful horse riding and the serene arboretum offers a scenic walk. the rooms are clean, modern, and well-appointed, with comfortable bedding and a modern bathroom. the buffet breakfast includes omelettes made to order, a surprising touch. the surrounding area offers easy access to nearby cities in an hour or less, making it ideal for exploring the region independently.
There were occasional issues with the WiFi that could make staying connected a bit frustrating at times.

I had a lovely stay at this hotel and was pleasantly surprised by its charming location. The hotel is nestled right next to a beautiful chateau, giving it a unique and interesting atmosphere. The staff were friendly and attentive, ensuring that my needs were well taken care of. The rooms were clean and comfortable, providing a good night's sleep. Additionally, the hotel offers a reasonable breakfast with an onsite restaurant, although it may be considered basic. this hotel is a great value for money, especially if you're looking for a peaceful retreat close to nature.
Parking can be a bit tricky due to the nearby activity center. However, this didn't dampen my overall experience.

The scenery around was beautiful and had lovely walking trails. Also, the breakfast was delicious and had a variety of options.
The room was tiny and had a very unpleasant smell that lingered throughout our stay. Additionally, the church next door constantly rang its bell throughout the night, making it practically impossible to sleep. not a great experience.
